1. What is Bougainlife?

Bougainlife is a slow lifestyle brand rooted in sustainability, creativity, and everyday joy. We make aprons, homeware, and decor using leftover fabrics, recycled materials, and sustainable fabrics using handmade processes with a focus on beauty and intention.

We will always be a work in progress towards sustainability.

2. Where are your products made?

All our products are handmade in India in small batches. Many are stitched at home studios or by local artisans we work closely with.

3. What fabrics do you use?

We use leftover cotton, upcycled fabrics, handloom scraps, jersey waste, and even wool-blended cotton made from recycled yarns and sustainable fabrics. We try our best to ensure nothing beautiful goes to waste.

4. Are all your products sustainable?

Yes, either fully or partially. Our approach is rooted in circular design, using fabric waste, conscious packaging, and minimal plastic across all stages.

5. Do you take custom or bulk orders?

6. How long will my order take to ship?

Most orders are shipped within 3–7 business days, and you’ll receive tracking info once dispatched. Some pieces are made to order and may take a little longer — we’ll keep you posted!

7. Do you accept returns or refunds?

We don’t accept returns or refunds for change of mind. However, if you receive a damaged or incorrect product, please email us within 48 hours of delivery, and we’ll make it right. [See our Refund Policy →]

8. Is your packaging eco-friendly?

Yes! We use plastic-free, minimal packaging made from recycled paper or fabric. Even our waterproof linings are made using katte (repurposed sack material).

9. Will my product look exactly like the photo?

Since many of our pieces use leftover or one-off fabrics, each product is unique. Colors and prints may vary slightly — that’s part of the charm.

10. How can I care for my Bougainlife products?

Most of our products are machine or hand-washable. We recommend cold water and line drying for longevity. Specific care instructions are mentioned on each product page.

11. Do you ship internationally?

Currently, we ship across India. For international orders, please contact us directly to check if shipping can be arranged.
